University of New South Wales Received a Funding of $ 119 Million From the UNSW Government

University of New South Wales is among one of those 14 universities that have received a fund of $ 119 million from the government of New South Wales. NSW government has announced this funding to support RNA research. This funding from the NSW government will help to boost the translation of the local RNA research and will also help New South Wales to become the world’s leading centre for RNA research, development, and local manufacturing capabilities. Pall Thordarson, professor and the director of the NSW RNA Bioscience Alliance, welcomed this funding from the NSW government and said, “I am proud to have been entrusted by the NSW Vice-Chancellor’s Committee to lead the NSW RNA Bioscience Alliance,”. In his speech, he also said that “We are delighted to see the very strong support from the NSW government for RNA research and development and the close collaboration between the NSW state government and the 14 universities in NSW and ACT through the NSW RNA Bioscience Alliance. This investment is crucial to our shared vision to advance NSW as a global leader in the RNA ecosystem,”.
